Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08 · PrivatePlayHub
This Privacy Policy describes how PrivatePlayHub ("we") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our website, dashboard, and license server.
1. What we collect
Account data: your email address, name, and password hash (bcrypt). Billing data: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. License/usage data: when the Software phones home, we receive your install id, the bound domain, a hash of your server's hardware fingerprint, and anonymous usage counts (e.g. number of videos). Server logs: IP addresses and request timestamps for security and abuse prevention.
2. What we do NOT collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store your video content. The Software runs on your server. Your videos, your viewers, and your viewer data never touch our systems. We only receive the anonymous metadata described above.
3. Why we collect it
- License enforcement: to validate licenses and deliver entitlements.
- Anti-piracy: hardware fingerprints and install ids help detect key sharing.
- Security: to prevent abuse and respond to incidents.
- Service operation: to process payments (via Stripe) and provide support.
4. How long we keep it
Account and license data is retained for the life of your account. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. Hardware fingerprint hashes are retained only as long as the associated license is active.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data with Stripe (payment processing) and our hosting/infrastructure providers. We may disclose data when required by law.
6. Your rights
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your account data by contacting support@privateplayhub.com. Note that deleting your account will invalidate your licenses.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, hashed passwords, signed license tokens) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
